Indie pop band Frankie Cosmos has announced their sixth studio album. It’s called Different Talking. Sub Pop will release it on June 27, 2025. The Greta Kline–led band has released a music video for the first single ‘Vanity.’ She directed it from footage co-shot with band mate Alex Bailey.
Frankie Cosmos’ current lineup comprises lead singer and songwriter Kline, plus aforementioned Alex Bailey, Katie Von Schleicher, and Hugo Stanley. The band produced the album themselves for the first time without an external producer. In a press release, Von Schleicher said: “We’d go to any length to get Greta’s songs right. She’s generous with songs. So we have a lot of freedom to arrange them. It’s a rare talent to have, with rare freedom given, and the course hasn’t changed.”
Greta Kline is the daughter of actors Kevin Kline and Phoebe Cates.
