House of Protection is a prolific American duo whose unique music blends metal, punk and electronica with catchy choruses. Aric Improta and Stephen Harrison formed the band after leaving Fever 333. They are also noted for their energetic live performances.
On their website, the pair declare that their music “serves as a sanctuary for those who surrender to impulse. Abandoning any regard for tradition and form they have created a feeling and unearthed a sound that sees them push their limits further than ever before.”
The band’s first release was ‘It’s supposed to hurt’.
‘Learn to Forget’ quickly followed:
The band flew to India to film a truly death-defying music video for their ‘Pulling Teeth’ single. Meanwhile, the six track EP Galore was released.
Their next distinctive music video for ‘Afterlife’, from the Outrun You All EP, features a latex-clad dominatrix.
The more electro single ‘Fire’ was promoted with a memorable music video. It features them with large blockheads, as shown in the image below.
New single, ‘I Need More Than This’ appeared online on May 2nd 2025.
In June, the band will be playing at the huge Rock Am Ring in Germany. Other festivals lined up are Download at Castle Donington, and the Reading and Leeds Festivals. They also have a notable support slot opening for Architects at London’s 20,000 capacity O2 Arena in October 2025.
