‘Mosquito Fighter’ is the new song from South Korean all-female punk trio Rumkicks. The catchy pop-punk song features a killer riff. It was written by lead vocalist and guitarist Yeahwon Jeong. It also features Myorori on bass and Wanseo Joo on drums.
Rumkicks (럼킥스) were formed in 2018 in Seoul, South Korea by Yeahwon Jeong and then bassist Choi Seun. The name Rumkicks was chosen to be something neutral that doesn’t hint at the members’ gender. Yeawon said it doesn’t have any deeper meaning, and she doesn’t particularly enjoy rum. She says she took some inspiration from Australian Celtic punk band The Rumjacks. They are strong proponents of mental health, having released the song “Proud of Madness”.

The band has toured extensively, including the UK, the US, Europe, China, and Japan. They have played at the British Blackpool-based Rebellion Festival in 2022, 2023 and 2024 respectively. On April 2, 2025, the band signed to SBÄM Records.
Meanwhile, here’s the official music video for “Mosquito Fighter”.
