Sunday (1994) is a British-American dream pop band based Los Angeles, California. The core duo consists of Paige Turner (Paige Duddy) from Los Angeles and Lee Newell from Slough, England. They are joined by a drummer named “Puma” (or “X” and “Racer X”). They are known for their slightly downbeat yet romantic and often cinematic lyrics.
Turner and Newell initially met in 2014, where they began writing songs together for other artists and for adverts. During the pandemic lockdown, the pair began writing songs for themselves to release. The songs they uploaded online instantly received thousands of views.
In 2024, the band released a six track debut self-titled EP. It was very well-received so they followed it with a deluxe version containing two more songs.
In February 2025, Sunday (1994) released new single Doomsday which seems to be about unrequited love.
Next single, ‘Rain’, followed in April.
On May 4, 2025, new single ‘Devotion’ was posted on YouTube.
Meanwhile, Turner and Newell are still currently in a relationship together.
